Plastic water cup

Plastic water cups are loved by many people, especially children, teenagers, and outdoor enthusiasts, such as agricultural mechanics, construction workers, and construction workers, due to their diverse shapes, bright colors, low prices, and non fragile nature. Experts remind that long-term use of plastic water cups is not safe for drinking water, and it is not recommended to use plastic water cups. The reasons are as follows:

First, plastics are Polymer chemistry materials, often containing toxic chemicals such as polypropylene or PVC. Drinking water from a plastic cup is inevitably used to hold hot water or boiling water. When using plastic water cups to hold hot water, especially boiled water, toxic chemicals in the plastic can easily leach into the water. Drinking such water for a long time will inevitably cause harm to the human body.

Secondly, plastic water cups are prone to bacteria and are not easy to clean. This is because plastic that appears to have a smooth surface is not smooth, and there are many small pores in the internal microstructure. These small pores are prone to dirt and scale, and cannot be cleaned off using conventional methods.

Thirdly, most plastic water cups sold on the market are made of polycarbonate, and bisphenol A is one of the main raw materials for producing polycarbonate plastics. Bisphenol A is internationally recognized as a substance that can increase the risk of cancer, and is related to breast cancer, prostate cancer and precocious puberty. Its harm to the human body is similar to smoking. After ingestion, it is difficult to decompose, has an accumulation effect, and can be passed on to the next generation. According to experiments conducted by the Harvard School of Public Health in the United States, drinking beverages in plastic bottles and eating food stored in plastic containers are the main sources of bisphenol A intake in the human body.
